A museum dedicated to the 2.6 million passengers who between 1873 and 1935 were transported by the Red Star Line shipping company to the United States and Canada. Most were poor emigrants in search of the American Dream; others were wealthy ticket-holders travelling in the name of business, adventure or pleasure. The museum tells the stories of these passengers, many of whom started their journeys from other parts of Europe. An Antwerp landmark in the vein of New York's Ellis Island. Opened September 2013.
